The surgery itself is free; the implant is consumed. Unlike the permanent "Implant:" key items, disposables stack in your inventory and each one covers exactly one surgery.

Every Pal eats, so it's never wasted — but it pays off most on high-appetite base workers, where a fifth less food means fewer feeding breaks and lighter farm upkeep. Only the World Tree exclusive World Tree's Bounty (-50%) goes further.
