What Conceited Does
Conceited trades toughness for productivity: Work Speed +10%, Defense -10%. On a base worker in a
safe, raid-free base the defense loss rarely matters, so it functions as a small free work bonus — though it's
strictly worse than
Serious
(+20% with no penalty), which costs all of 10,000
gold at the surgery table. Treat Conceited as a placeholder, not a keeper.
How to Get It
Conceited isn't on the surgery menu — it only rolls on wild Pals, so it arrives on catches rather than by choice.
There's no reason to seek it out: overwrite it at the
Pal Surgery Table
with
Serious
or anything stronger (implants guide).
