What Shabby Does
Shabby makes items sell for 10% less while the Pal is in your party — and per the game data it also
nudges merchant prices 10% higher when you buy. It's the negative counterpart of
Fine Furs
(+3% sell) and
Noble
(+5% sell).
It has zero effect on combat, work, or movement, and it only triggers at a merchant — leave the Pal out of your party when you go trading and it never costs you a coin. That makes Shabby the least urgent negative passive in the game: fix it when the Pal is getting surgery anyway, not as an emergency.
How to Get Rid of It
Overwrite it at the
Pal Surgery Table
with any
unlocked passive — even the cheapest 10,000-gold default beats a slot that only makes shopping worse. Shabby isn't
on the surgery menu, so once overwritten it can't come back; the
implants guide has the full list of replacements.
