What Destructive Does
Destructive makes the Pal's SAN drop 15% faster — the bigger version of
Unstable
(+10%). For scale: that's the same sanity drain
Demon’s Hand
carries as its drawback, except here you get nothing in return.
Sanity mostly matters at base, where it drains as Pals work and causes breakdowns and hot-spring trips when it runs low. That's where Destructive hurts. On a Pal used purely for combat or riding it does very little — so like most negatives it's dead weight on a fighter and an active problem on a worker.
How to Get Rid of It
Overwrite it at the
Pal Surgery Table
with any
unlocked passive.
Workaholic
(-15%, a 50,000-gold default) flips the slot from
+15% SAN drain to -15% — a 30-point swing — and even the 10,000-gold
Positive Thinker
(-10%) turns it from a drain into a cushion. Destructive isn't
on the surgery menu, so once it's overwritten it can't come back — see the
implants guide for the full list of replacements.
When breeding worker lines, drop Destructive carriers early — a worker that snaps constantly costs you more than the slot suggests.
