What Hard Skin Does

Hard Skin is a flat Defense +10% — the smallest step on the defensive ladder that continues with Burly Body (+20% plus flinch immunity) and Diamond Body (+30% plus flinch and knockback immunity). Its negative mirrors are Downtrodden (-10%) and Brittle (-20%).

A few Pals carry it naturally, including Digtoise , Warsect , and Astegon . It's never a build-defining pick, but as the cheapest way to turn a dead or negative slot into something useful, it earns its keep.

How to Get It

Hard Skin is one of the default options at the Pal Surgery Table — no implant needed, 10,000 gold per surgery. It also rolls on wild Pals like any common passive. See the implants guide for how surgery works.
