What the Electric Egg Incubator Does

The Electric Egg Incubator is the first upgrade over the basic Egg Incubator, and it buys you two things: it hatches 1.5× faster, and it ends temperature management entirely. It still holds one egg.

How to Build It

• A boss technology at level 36 costing 5 Ancient Technology Points, gated behind the Orserk tower boss at the Tower of the PIDF. It also requires you to have already unlocked the basic Egg Incubator — it's the only incubator in the ladder with a technology prerequisite.
• Costs 50 Refined Ingots, 15 Circuit Boards, 5 Ancient Civilization Parts and 2 Ancient Civilization Cores.
• Draws 200 power continuously — the cheapest powered structure in the incubator line.

No More Heaters

In the game files, the basic Egg Incubator carries a temperature component that measures the gap between the surrounding climate and what the egg wants. The Electric Egg Incubator inherits from it but strips that logic out, which is what its description means by keeping "the inside of the incubator at appropriate temperatures". A Scorching Egg and a Frozen Egg incubate at identical speed in the same machine, in any biome.

That convenience is the real purchase here. The speed increase from 1.0 to 1.5 work per second is modest; not having to build, staff and power a heater array around your hatchery is what changes your base layout.

Is It Worth 5 Ancient Technology Points?

Honestly, it's the weakest rung on the ladder. Five Ancient Technology Points is the same price as the Large Incubator twelve levels later, which holds three eggs and needs no power at all. If you're already close to level 48, saving the points is defensible.

It earns its place when you're breeding heavily in the level 36–48 window, or when your base is somewhere with an awkward climate and the heater upkeep is genuinely annoying. Otherwise, a row of basic incubators under one Electric Heater does more work for less.
