What the Stump and Axe Does

The Stump and Axe is a passive efficiency structure: while one is placed in your base, all lumbering work at that base is faster. It doesn't need power, doesn't need a pal assigned to it, and doesn't need to sit next to your Logging Site — simply having it anywhere in the base radius applies the bonus.

How to Use It

• Unlocked at level 28 in the technology tree for 2 technology points.
• Build exactly one per base. As the in-game description says, placing more than one has no additional effect.
• It must be placed within your base's radius to count.
• It shines at wood-production bases — anywhere pals with the Lumbering suitability are chopping away at a Logging Site or Logging Site II.

Tips

The Stump and Axe is one of a family of one-per-base efficiency boosters, each covering a different work type. Its closest sibling is the Mining Cart, which does the same job for mining — a dedicated resource outpost that produces both wood and ore wants both. If your base leans toward crafting instead, the Large Toolbox speeds up the handiwork that all that wood eventually feeds into.
