What the Large Toolbox Does

The Large Toolbox is a passive efficiency structure: while one is placed in your base, all handiwork at that base is faster. It doesn't need power, doesn't need a pal assigned to it, and doesn't need to sit next to a workbench — simply having it anywhere in the base radius applies the bonus.

How to Use It

• Unlocked at level 20 in the technology tree for 2 technology points — the earliest of the work boosters.
• Build exactly one per base. As the in-game description says, placing more than one has no additional effect.
• It must be placed within your base's radius to count.
• Handiwork covers most crafting — workbenches, sphere and weapon production, and assembly lines — so nearly every base benefits from one.

Tips

The Large Toolbox is one of a family of one-per-base efficiency boosters, each covering a different work type. Because handiwork is the most common work type in the game, this is usually the first booster worth building, and the one that pays off at almost any base. For more specialized bases, look at the Flame Cauldron for kindling, the Mining Cart for mining, or the Stump and Axe for lumbering.
