What Ripe Starfruit Does

The flexible starfruit: it raises a Pal's star rank by one, whatever its current rank, with no duplicates fed into the Pal Essence Condenser. The fixed-tier fruits ( ☆1 , ☆2 , ☆3 , ☆4 ) each work only at their exact rank; a Ripe Starfruit substitutes for any of them.

How to Get One

• Bounty exchange — 50 Successful Bounty Tokens , unlimited. The reliable, repeatable source: farm bounty targets and buy as many as you need. Targets and payouts are in the bounty hunting guide.
• Ancient Relic Recycler. Every Ancient Relic you recycle grants three rolls on the recycler's jackpot pool; each roll has about a 1.1% chance of a Ripe Starfruit — rarer than the ~2.7% each fixed-tier fruit gets. Counting all five fruits, roughly one relic in three pays out a starfruit of some kind. See the Ancient Relics guide.

Tips

• Spend it on the most expensive step you're facing. Condenser costs climb from 4 duplicates (☆0 → ☆1) to 24 (☆3 → ☆4), so a Ripe Starfruit used on the last star saves six times the fodder of one used on the first.
• Starfruit are the only route to ranks for unbreedable Pals. Panthalus and Astralym can't produce condenser fodder at a Breeding Farm. Between bounty tokens here and the Medal Merchant's fixed-tier fruits, you can still take them all the way to ☆4 — this is the one that doesn't care which step you're on.
